Recently, ZHGAS signed a contract with Shandong Luyu Bochuang Aluminum Co., Ltd. for the turnkey project of a coal gas station using circulating fluidized bed gasifiers. The collaboration focuses on building a gas station for alumina calcination.
Luyu Bochuang uses the low-temperature Bayer process to produce metallurgical-grade alumina. The project plans to install a 40,000 standard cubic meters/hour circulating fluidized bed gasifier to supply thermal energy to the alumina calcining furnace. Once operational, the project will significantly reduce gas costs and, in turn, lower the overall cost of alumina production.
Circulating fluidized bed gasification technology offers advantages such as strong adaptability to various coal types, low energy consumption and costs, and high overall energy efficiency. It has already been commercially applied in industrial sectors like coal-to-syngas and coal-to-clean gas production.
